This week we are trying to find a good home for the beautiful, the one, the only….TATE!!!
Look at that beautiful smile. And those loving eyes. Tate is a spayed female Pit Bull Terrier. She loves all people, is a happy girl, and is great with other dogs. Tate also loves to play, but can also settle down well. And she is housebroken and very smart.
Tate got a 2nd chance at life when she was taken by Peppertree Dog Rescue from a shelter in NYC, where she had been brought in as a stray.
So whattya say? Do you have the love to give to this beautiful dog who needs a home?
If so, please contact the good people at Peppertree Dog Rescue by going to their website, or calling (518) 435-7425 for more information.

Awww! She’s such a beauty!
The collar looks a little scary though.
Unfortunately, dealing from extensive first hand knowledge, I would recommend staying away from rescued Pitbulls from Peppertree.
Liz, the collar is a prong collar used to walk stronger dogs, that’s all. Nothing to do with their temperament.
Brian, the issue is not a problems with Pit Bulls from Peppertree or anyone else, the problem is with owners either not understanding the breed they are adopting or not following the advice they are given. Pit Bulls, like every breed, have distinct traits that those adopting them must pay attention to or there will be problems.
Stopping puppy mills and other types of animal abuse is very important to me.
Intriguing articles. I bookmarked your site. I’m searching for other blogs that have visitors that would get a benefit from a new site of mine on akita dogs. Let me know if you want to trade some articles or reviews. I figure we would both get value.
I’m frightened that the Pit bull wants a specific type of proprietor…these dogs, no matter how ‘supporting’ still have teeth, are still creatures with no moral principles and when they DO bite, won’t let go. As in all animals…some often be far more suseptable to instinctual habits and time and time again, this breed tends to accomplish just that.
Kevin, As you may or may not know, we just had to bury our very much loved and missed Akita/Shephard of 14 yrs earlier this month. What would the distinct traits we would need to know about.. because I want to call about this dog. Thank you in advance, Cynthia
first, what a BEAUTIFUL dog! look at that pitt smile! how could you NOT fall in love with tate?
second, sutherland, wtf are you talking about? something which you know nothing about, obviously. do ANY dogs you know have moral principals? do ANY dogs you know not let go? and wtf is that ‘suseptable to instinctual habits’ b.s. that you’re spewing, and spelling atrociously at the same time?
any dog can be dangerous in the wrong hands. ANY dog. perhaps you have the opinions you do because you recognize this breed as a ‘dangerous’ breed. if that’s the case, i encourage you to do some reading on pitts, aka american pitt bull terriers, and then stop posting stupid ignorant sh*t on the web.
fyi.
i have a pitt mix, a well trained, beautiful sweet girl that shows me more love than any other breed of dog that i’ve owned. most make wonderful and loving family dogs. and yes, i have even seen her let go when she was biting something! imagine that! good training goes a long way. i just wish people with your opinion could be trained, too.
