**** UPDATE! This dog has been rescued!!
… c’mon. 2 dogs aren’t that much more work than one!! I got an email from a volunteer named Jen at the Homeward Bound Dog Rescue, and apparently she has fallen in love with Roxie (pictured below). This is what Jen has to say…
Roxi has a few things working against her despite being a very loving dog.
She is four and a half (only seasoned in my opinion) and a mixture of lab and rotti. She also came down with heartworm after she became homeless. She was recently treated for heartworm and is recovering nicely (but the kennel is loud and all those strange dogs make her nervous).
So she really needs a nice quiet place to recover and a person to cuddle as she recovers. She is a quiet, sweet, loving girl who needs a second chance despite the breed bias some may have against the rotti half of her. She would do the best in a one dog home with adults.
She is house broken and up to date on all shots.
So maybe we can find Roxie a home, as well as Charlie?

I hate dog prejudice! it’s almost as bad as people prejudice. I would love this sweetie if I didn’t live in an apt…and ya know consume so much rum… ;-)
I had two lab/rottie mixed dogs growing up, and they were wonderful. very protective and smart. Does she get along with other dogs?
Also, does Charlie get along with other dogs?
Hi all!!
