I’d like to give a sincere thank you to The Boys & Girls Club for honoring me last night with The Community Impact Award. The other two recipients were Albany’s Mayor Jerry Jennings and Linda Jackson-Chambers.
When I was told they had given me the award, I was like, “wait, does this mean I have to give a speech?” and they said, “yes. yes it does.”. (insert panic). My name was called right after Mayor Jennings who gave a very solid, very thoughtful, 15 minute speech.
Here, on the other end of the spectrum, is my 17 second acceptance speech….. so don’t blink. (If you look closely, you can probably see the piss running down my leg.)
