This is a last minute game change.
We’re getting dangerously close to the 5,000th comment, and as I’ve mentioned before, whoever leaves the 5,000th comment will win a trip to Panama. But I’ve been thinking about it, and that all seems a little too easy. Here I am busting my hump with this blog every breathing minute of my day (waaaaaaahhhhh), and it only seems fair that if someone wants to win an amazing trip to Panama, they should have to work a little bit for it.
So here are the new terms…
Whoever leaves the 5,000th, 5,0001st and 5,0002nd comment will be contacted by Friday Puppy via email. Each of these three people, if they want to participate, will be interviewed by a member of the Friday Puppy team (Christy or David or Mark or my mom or me). We’ll video tape it (is that what it’s called these days? video record it?) and we’ll post the 3 video interviews on Friday Puppy for everyone to see.
Then, the readers will decide which of the 3 contestants they feel should win the trip to Panama. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will win a burrito or a pound of sauerkraut some nice parting gifts like they give away on game shows.
Obviously, if I contact you as one of the three winners and you don’t want to do it, then no big whoop, we’ll just contact the next commenter and offer the contest to him/her.
However, before you say no, let me point out to you that today was 95 degrees in Panama.

I like the video idea and to let the readers have some feedback in the decision making should make for a interesting read. Its your blog you can change the terms and conditions at any time.
My husband and I went to Lark Street Bombers for the very first time yesterday. It was kind of a stalking experience for me and he just went along because he’s good like that. Had great meal – he even said he would go again!! And as we were sitting there dining, I told him we were going to Panama. How cool is that!!
Anyway, nice job on Bombers – wish I’d gotten to see/meet you, Matt. (I was too shy to ask if you were there.) Although stalking/drooling from a distance is working out nicely for now.
Gotta say- seems lame to change the rules at this point, just my opinion.

oo! This is getting very interesting! I like the recording of the interviews, it give the readers of Friday Puppy an inside look and chance to decide the outcome of who the lucky person is that gets to go to Panama!

I can’t believe you spring this on us last minute. You obviously knew you were going to have this competition but didn’t tell anyone because you were trying to get your comment numbers up. That being said, i’d like to go to panama so I can learn to throw a cut-fastball and make a glove out of a milk carton just like Mariano Rivera.
Then again, he didn’t say you can’t wear a ski-mask in the interview. Problem solved!
