I love UFC. Call me crazy, but as a complete wimp I find watching these muscled men beat the shit out of eachother absolutely fascinating. I’m amazed that these fighters can take repeated punches to the face and not cry like Matt on a plane a baby. I also love watching the weigh-ins that happen the day before each fight. Over at UFC Live, you can watch all of your favorite fighters strip down to their underpants or, if you’re lucky, even less. Do we have any Friday Puppy UFC fans out there?
This weekend is UFC 110 in Sydney Australia and I have my money (and eyes) on Cain Velasquez. For those interested the weigh-in will be streaming live (and free!) at 10pm Eastern tomorrow night at UFC Live.

I effing love UFC!! I really hope it becomes legal in NY soon (so stupid that it’s not). I’ve been to 2 fights and it’s amazing live and I met Randy Couture! I would love to go to the one in NJ or Montreal but it’s just not in the budget.
As much as I would love for Nogueira to win this fight, I think Velasquez may take it. Either way, this fight should be good as both are great fighters with immense talent. Dana White said the winner of this fight may get to fight Brock Lesnar when he returns this summer….I truly cannot stand Lesnar and hope someone takes that belt from him soon (my hope is Frank Mir will reclaim the belt but who knows).
I hope Wanderlei Silva wipes the floor with Michael Bisping. He apparently learned his lesson about talking shit after Henderson destroyed him. I like Bisping and think he’s a good fighter but he’s too cocky for his own good.
My other hope is that Krzystof beats Bonnar. I really like him and think he has the potential of going far and would like to see him on the main card soon.
Most likly not the best blog to be looking for UFC fans, but I sure as hell am one. Everything about this sport is amazing! From the insane training, to the intellect and dedication of the fighters
Hi Andrew Detroiter at heart, fix computers for a living, play on a gay hockey team, can single-handedly win any Arrested Development trivia round!!!!!
As a fellow local celebrity blogger I am glad you are telling people how great UFC is!
The weigh in is my favorite because the ring
fishgirls try to avert their eyes from the fighters schlong! Who can blame them for looking! LOLThe muscles and physiques of those guys is amazing and I am working out a lot all the time when I’m not blogging or gaming or learning Steve Vai songs on my Ibanez acoustic/electric!
I watch the fights indeed because the fighters are not POSERS like delusional local musicians who slander people and dont know the TOS of certain blogs.
Great post! I hope you blog more and show more pictures!
I love the UFC! My boyfriend and I watch the reality show every season. It is always very interesting to see the different techniques and ways that the men have trained.I would really love to go see a live fight sometime soon.
I agree with Jess, it def should be legalized here in NY. There really isn’t a logical explanation as to why it is illegal. And it just may bring in more revenue for this state.
i was looking for somewhere to watch ufc 110 and was told that one of the places showing it was wolff’s.
is this true? i’m surprised you didn’t mention it if it is.
Don’t know if you heard….
Rothwell dropped out(illness) of his matchup against Cro Cop.
Love ufc…. Is this true that they will be playing it at Wolff’s? Matt confirm? I would much rather spend my money on good beer than $50 to watch the UFC fights on ppv.
And #1 – I agree, they can’t legalize it in NY soon enough. There’s way too much revenue being missed out on in NY by not having this…. Maybe if politicians got their heads out of their asses they would follow through with legalizing it.
I hope this goes legal in NY. My husband and I have been fans for years, since way back in the day when it was a total rouge outfit. I agree Matt, weigh ins rock!
