I’m lucky to have a great mom.
She always made sure we had clean clothes, she beat us on the head with a wooden spoon when we acted out of line, and she always had a home cooked meal on the table 5 nights a week. (the other 2 nights we were allowed to eat candy for supper and bathe in Pepsi.)
For all of you who have a great mother like I do, today is the day to win her a very special prize.
For Friday Puppy’s Mother’s Day Edition of Thursday’s Puppy Prize (wow, I need to come up with a shorter intro than that. I’m exhausted already from all that typing)… If you love your mom, you need to win her these two gifts:

1. Hannoush Jewelers
I like Hannoush Jewelers so much, I bought the very diamond earrings I wear in my own ears from them. Hannoush Jewelers had the fairest price, their diamonds were the sparkliest (sp?) and Al Hannoush (the owner) is a quality guy. When I go to Crossgates Mall, I almost always stop by Hannoush just so I can say hi to Al. He’s that swell of a guy.
Plus, I love saying he word “Hannoush”. Hannoush. Hannoush. I also love saying “phenomenon”. I especially LOVE saying the word “phenomenon” to that Muppets tune.
2. The Lark Street Flower Market
The Lark Street Flower Market is where I go when I need to buy roses, cut table flowers for parties and balloons for my own birthday (I have cheap friends).
I am pretty sure The Lark Street Flower Market fertilize their flowers with Energizer Batteries because those flowers just don’t die. I swear to god they last a month. And they’re cheap, and they’re pretty. Just like your mom (zing!).

I do know a mom who deserves this prize. My sister. She is the mom of awesome twin boys. She nearly died during child birth. SHe has gone above and beyond (like most moms do) for her kids. She is the epitomy of what a mother should be. She is also the world’s best Aunt to my two little girls. Her boys are 18 now and are finishing up freshman year in college. One at RPI and the other at Siena. They’ve come along way since being preemies in incubators at Albany Med.
