So… we’ve submitted paperwork for the following Block Party, and so far it’s looking good!
This Saturday at Wolff’s we will be showing the USA vs. Ghana match. (Hopefully) the street will be shut down, huge big top tent with HDTVs, Beer Trucks, Food, etc.
$5 entry. First 2,000 people will receive a FREE 1.0L Wolff’s Biergarten beer stein. (and the 1.0L beers are $2 cheaper than at the USA England game! woo hoooo!)
Hope to see you there.
USA!! USA!! USA!!
(may I make a suggestion?…. it’s Art On Lark on Saturday, also!… It might make a nice day if you were to go to Art on Lark around 11:00am and then came down to Wolff’s for the big game! Just an idea.)

Awesome! I was worried about how early I’d need to get to Wolff’s to be able to get in!
Any idea how the road closure will affect the busses? Will I still be able to get there riding the 22? (sorry, I don’t ride the busses very often, but I figured this is an excellent opportunity)
Will you need volunteers this time too? The last World Cup block party was ridiculous.
Crap I have to work until 2.
@ Slacker, busses will run as normal, with a slight detour around Wolff’s.
How about the first 25 paid admissions get Friday Puppy T-Shirts!
Sweet going to try and go 10am is kinda early for drinking beer though haha
I want one of those steins! =O
Could I suggest the tables in the tent be removed? I felt like they wasted space people outside the tent could have been occupying.
I think this is an awesome event , its great to get together with fello Americans to root on the Stars and stripes, one suggestion to make the event better, project the game on the front of the building next to the biergarden so everyone can see the game. There just isnt enough tv in the tent or put tv’s in the corners of the tent. Sorry, to be that guy, Matt and complaint about an awesome event. GO USA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ Lisa B I like where your head is at
AWESOME!!!!!! Can’t wait!!!!

Here’s hoping for no rain! Another suggestion, if not already thought of – if it is possible to move the Tent TVs higher up it will make it easier to see over the people in front of you. I thought the first event was very well run, no lines for tickets, food, or beer, not too bad of a line for the toilets.
Thanks for making Albany a better place, one cool event at a time!
Can’t believe I will miss it. I volunteered last time and had a great time during and after. Damn Graduations!!!
