As I’ve said before, please send photos that are not blurry and NO photos of dogs that have bright crazy red eyes from your flash. Not only will I not put those photos up on Friday Puppy, but they give me nightmares. Literally. Or as I call them, “Nightpuppies.”
Usage: (Hooker: “Dude, I know I just met you in the park, but you were screaming in your sleep. What was that?”
Me: “Oh my god, I’m sorry. I was just having another Nightpuppy. I write this insanely popular blog called Friday Puppy. And people send me photos of their dogs and sometimes…”
Hooker: (interrupts me) “Stop. You’re really freaking me out. I’m just gonna call a cab. Do not get up.”)
I have also started putting the Friday photos in the “More Photos” section so that it doesn’t take up so much room on the home page. Just something I’m trying. I figured I’d keep you all in the loop. If you hate it, let me know. If you love it, send me some chocolate chip cookies. From scratch please. (I’ll know the difference).

I only remember one other week being this difficult.
Now, Matt, I hate to brag, but I have grown men from military bases across the country calling me for “my” chocolate chip cookies. Boxes go out every week to colleges, military bases, etc. But since we live so close, you’re welcome to come pick yours up in person…..hint…hint….seriously.

For the record Ellie DID in fact climb in the fridge one her own. It was on one of the recent hot days and I left the door open while making dinner. I turned around to find her hiding behind a bunch of food-coling off. I did move the food out of the way to snap this shot but rest assured she LOVES the fridge and attempts to get in it everytime I open it. Regarding her being bummed-this is her leave me alone I’m sleeping look.

WOW Ellie is adorable! Of course a puppy, on a hot day, will jump in to a fridge…try putting a puppy any place it doesn’t want to be—not gonna happen. so, in short, that seems like the real deal cuteness.What a doll, I want to meet that munchkin. All the pups are so cute, Ellie you have my vote!

I think you were trying to call Stella ugly, & if that’s your opinion that’s fine…vote for whichever dog you find the cutest, but we come to this site as visitor’s & proud dog owners. Calling someone’s pet ugly is never acceptable because as owners we love them all & all think our pet is the cutest. As Stella’s mom I’m proud of her that she’s in the top two & if she doesn’t win I’m still going to love her & think of her as the cutest dog in my eyes. Please don’t ever call someone’s dog ugly no matter what the situation, this blog is fun & not hateful & when you insult the dog, you’re also hurting their owner.

Yes people, it was a forgone conclusion from the get go, Stella was going to win LOL. I had a lot of fun watching the wars yesterday as Henry got close or passed, Stella would suddenly bust back to the lead. Tired of clicking continuously, Stella waited until just before the finish line, and after Henry was prematurely call the winner, and gave herself well over a hundred votes to get over 50% of all the casts votes. That my friends is a very talented dog and deserves to be called the cutest.
It’s not right to announce a winner and then take it back! I thought it was very nice that Henrey won because he is so darn cute! Tucker should have came in second because he’s just as cute.
Brea, you are absolutly right. It wasn’t nice what I wrote but if it’s just for fun then how was your dogs numbers shooting up like that? It seems awfully suspicious to me!
I told people to vote, and they did, she was in second or first all week. I don’t understand how that’s suspicious. Stella is loved by many & many people wanted to see her win, and she did :) Ellie and Henry are very cute & I can recognize that without calling them mean names , they just didn’t win, that’s all.

However Kali seems like an honest and very cute dog, who needs no gimmicks. I like that in my adorable dogs.
I can tell you that Henry’s picture was definitely not staged! Every morning I get ready for work and Henry waits on the bed with his toy for me to finish and head downstairs. He looked so cute that day, I grabbed my phone and snapped a picture. I could get the same picture almost every day except he’s been carrying a new toy these days.
