The Pink Party is a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to be held at the home of Matt Baumgartner on Friday, April 1st.  (if you click on the image above, it will bring you to our Facebook page which has more information.)

Festive PINK cocktail attire is required.

The party is OPEN BAR and with pink themed cocktails.

The music will be classic songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s.  And probably some Lady Gaga. :)

Please support this wonderful cause.  I consider this party to be the best party of the year, and hope you can attend!

THINK PINK !

Quick note:  If you purchased your tickets through PayPal, please note that your names will be listed at the door.  A physical ticket will not be sent or emailed to you.

UPDATE:  We have stopped selling tickets online.  Tickets available at the door for $75/person.

didnt see the location change at first. going to pick up my outfit this weekend!

  2. andrewsullivan says:

75 per person? 100 a couple? How much of this is going to charity? I could see if this was being held at a specific venue, but its essentially in your living room.

  3. @andrewsullivan… please don’t come. You sound like a douche bag. But to answer your question, 100% of it is going to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

  4. Slacker says:

While I can’t justify spending that on attending myself, I’d like to thank you for hosting this. I was diagnosed with CML back in 2007, and by the grace of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (and some fantastic drugs), I’m still here. The folks at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are some great people that help out during some really tough times in peoples lives. So thanks again.

  5. Maybe I should explain something. This party is at MY HOUSE. Do you think it’s wise for me to have a $10 kegger where everyone and their drunk step-mom show up at my front door? I’ve done that before, and people can get disrespectful.

The price is set accordingly for a reason. I put a lot of time and effort into this party. The event is beautiful, and fun, and it’s worth every penny, especially considering it all goes to charity. If you can swing, it, please come. If not, there are going to be lots of ways you can donate to LLS.

@#2, Matt is being more than generous by offering his own living space for any event. He has a strong sense of philanthropy and community and is an over the top, generous host.Don’t be a hater,he doesn’t need your 75 bucks to host a fundraiser but it’d be nice if you donated something for a good cause.

  7. Craig Craig says:

I think it is awesome what you are doing Matt and take my hat off to you for opening your home to raise funds. Let me know the link for the charity and I will donate $50.

  8. Casey says:

Andrew- I’d pay more to drink in Matt’s living room than at a venue or a bar. Have you seen the photos he’s put up of his place?

  9. Christy the homebirther says:

Use your brains people, come to the party.

  10. Bryan says:

I’m guessing this isn’t Chris Pratt from Parks & Recreation??

  11. ATTENTION @Slacker… a Friday Puppy reader was moved by your comment and has offered to purchase a Pink Party ticket for you. The reader would like to remain anonymous. So if you are interested, which I hope you are, please let me know and I’ll arrange a ticket for you. :)

  12. the Original Colleen says:

Matt could you please move the garbage cans???? :-/

  13. D-Dub says:

Will breast-milk ice cream be made available?

  14. The Original Colleen says:

Tweeted the event, so if people from Alaska and Idaho start purchasing tickets to The Pink Party, you can blame me…LOL.

  15. JohnE says:

I had Non Hodgins Lymphoma as a child. I think this is a great idea for a good cause. Hopefully my wife and I can make it!

  16. Slacker says:

Well damn. Thank you very much for your generous offer Mr/Ms Anonymous. But there’s no way I can accept. It’s very touching to know that you’d offer, however, and I thank you for that.

  17. Anon says:

@Slacker,sorry you can’t make it.I might go instead and pretend I’m at a 10.00 kegger! May the Flying Spaghetti Monster keep you well!

  18. Tammy P says:

@Anon – You are a kind and generous person!

  19. G-Dawg says:

OK, what’s up I can’t grt this to work ????????. I don’t want to miss out

  20. Rachel says:

When I click on the link for pay pal it’s only a single ticket, is there a separate pay pal for the $100/couple ticket? Or should I justy pay at the door? Thanks Matt for supporting an awesome cause.

  21. @ Rachel… I apologize, but we removed the price per couple so that it was fair to everyone, regardless if you are in a relationship or not. I sincerely hope you still decide to come to the party.

  22. Rachel says:

Wouldn’t miss it just cause its an extra $50 :)

  23. the Original Colleen says:

Me and 4 of my friends wouldn’t miss it for the world…wait, what….ok, me and two of my friends wouldn’t……wait, ok….nevermind, I’ll see you at Oktoberfest.

  24. @ the Original Colleen… I’m sorry to hear that you and your friends won’t be at the fundraiser. There will be other opportunities to give to this wonderful cause in the future, if you feel like giving. Hope to see you soon.

  25. the original Colleen says:

Oh most of them will be there, and I have my Brackets so I’ll be doing that for this fantastic charity.

  26. Edna says:

@24,so whats on deck for entertainment since Oscar the grouch isn’t attending?

  27. Edna says:

    @ 25,it’s a JOKE. ;)

  28. the original Colleen says:

@27, is there something wrong with you? You weren’t there, heard a mostly made up story, seem to be obsessed with me and Matt and really are not funny. Do you need some help that one of us can get you; I’m starting to worry about you.

  29. Matt Matt says:

    @28, I think Edna’s really funny. I’m just saying.

  30. the original Colleen says:

@#29 Wow, ok well it is your blog, if hurtful meaness is your thing I can’t stop yah, you really do confuse me sometimes; have at it Edna, clearly your cruel edge is what this blog endorses.

  31. Wendy Sue says:

Matt, I have a bunch of people who are attending as a group. Since they are alcoholics can you PLEASE specify what would be included in the open bar?
I understand liquor will be involved but what beers may I ask? Drinkers like details and if you are not offering what they would like to drink, may they bring their own? $75 just to see your sweet face in person is fine with me. : )

Thank you kindly from one xanax lover to the next. Muah!! xoxoxoxo

  32. Matt Matt says:

@ Wendy Sue, we will have beer (brand to tbd), rose wine and white wine and vodka. Is there something specific your friends would like? Let me know who they are when they buy their tickets and I’ll contact them to see what kind of specific beer they drink.

  33. Wendy Sue says:

You are such a sweetheart. Your stressful efforts for such a good cause are very much appreciated. Vodka is fine with me. BTW, #2 is a douche bag hope he does not come.
    Thanks!

  34. John says:

Hey Matt…You’re right, poster #2 is a real jerk. Nice of you to open up your home for such a great charity.

  35. Christianne says:

Bummer – I already have plans. Have a great night and thanks for the invite!

  36. Wendy Sue says:

Can you pay at the door or only through Pay Pal?

  37. Goose says:

Wendy, I was about to ask the same thing.

  38. Matt & Goose, you can pay at the door, but in the event the party is too full, people who have paid in advance are given priority. I would hate for you to show up in your pink clothes, and not get in because it’s too full. I highly suggest buying a ticket ahead of time.

  39. G-Dawg says:

Hey Matt, Are you gonna have the huge snowfall tinted PINK for Friday night……??? That would be soo cool…! ! ! ! See what you can do…

  40. Rachael says:

Hey Matt, I am coming into town tonight and wanted to see if tickets are still available for your Pink Party? Also, what is the dress code?

  41. Matt Matt says:

@ rachael. Buy a ticket online ASAP. Wear pink.
