I am sitting in the train station.  My train is an hour late, so I am going to spend this time doing Friday Puppy.  I was considering using the time to twist all the labels on the bottled beverages in the cooler so that they are facing forward, but I’m going to focus on my breathing and try to understand that life will go on if the labels aren’t facing forward.

This week we have another very cute batch of puppies for our Friday Puppy segment.  How does it work?  Well, every Friday you send us a photo of your dog, and we post 7 pictures.  Then you vote for whichever dog you think is the cutest, and that dog wins a gift certificate to Bombers Burrito Bar.   This week we had a blog reader send us a photo of their cat for us to post on the blog.  I think she thought she was being funny.   I, however, did not laugh.

How is it possible it’s Friday already!?

For those of you readers who ONLY read on Fridays because you take the blog name very literally, we have added a new fashion correspondent named Billy to the mix.

If this is your very first time reading Friday Puppy because everyone at your office has been talking about it, and you finally gave in, then this is what you’re missing….  Every Friday we post photos of YOUR dogs.  Send us a photo of your cute puppy to FridayPuppy@gmail.com, and we will enter your dog into our weekly Cutest Friday Puppy competition.  The winner of this contest will receive a gift certificate to Bombers Burrito Bar.

The contest lasts for 7 days until next Friday (or is that 6 days?).  Whatever, it lasts until the next poll goes up.  So spread the word on facebook, email, bathroom walls, twitter… whatever you need to do to get out the word on your favorite dog.

I’m so happy it’s Friday!  because…

a.) I get paid.  So no more worrying the lady at the corner store is going to tell me my debit card purchase didn’t go through.  ”… but it has overdraft.”  ”It’s not going through, sir.”  ”yeah but it has overdraft. try it again.”

b.) my friends from NYC are coming today off the train to visit me for the weekend.  ”which stop is it?”  ”Get off at the Albany/Rensselaer station.”  ”The Albany what??”  ”Just get off at Albany.”  ”Will they tell me when I’m there.”  ”Just pay attention”.   “But what if I’m asleep”.   “Maybe you shouldn’t come here this weekend.”

c.)  it’s “Pay What You Weigh” at Chuck E. Cheese!  hello 4 pitchers of beer and all I can pizza for $1.65

Is this your first time reading Friday Puppy?  Well let me tell you how it works….

Every Friday I get drunk and post photos of your dogs.  I’ve been doing it since I was 7.   Although there was no internet, I used to get hammered on my dad’s Genny Cream Ale’s and then watch Mork & Mindy and draw pictures of dogs and store them in my knockoff version of a Trapper Keeper because my parents were too cheap to buy the real thing. I think it was called a “manilla envelope” or something.
